February and March update

Well, it has been awhile since I've updated this. So much has happened over the last 2 months! Liam is now just about 5 months old and he his growing big and strong every day. Well, strong at least. He is still a little on the shrimpy side. But, we're working on that!

Liam's Skills

Liam can now roll both ways, take his Binky out (and sometimes put it back in), sing, laugh, squeal and yell. He is working on his eating skills (he won't swallow yet but we just started working on it this week), jumping skills, and he is starting to recognize his name (or at least I think he is). No teeth yet and he hasn't started sitting up straight yet. Liam loves talking to his toys and loves talking to his feet even more! After talking to them they almost always go into his mouth...His happiest times are when Tyson or I am holding him making goofy faces, singing or tickling him. He LOVES "head, shoulders, knees and toes." Liam has started to enjoy playing in his crib as well (as opposed to sleeping of course!) We look forward to what he will do next. It seems like it is something new each day!

Liam the traveler

Aside from his growing skill set, Liam has also become a proficient traveler. He went on his first plane trip this February to North Carolina for his grandma Burgess' funeral. This was a sad trip but Liam was able to meet Great Grandpa Burgess and some other family members which was nice.

In the weeks to come we have some big changes at home. We are planning on some home renovations which will have the counters and floors torn up and I will be returning to work 2 days a week. Nana Meyer will be taking care of Liam while I am working. Busy times ahead!! We look forward to a fun filled spring and summer. We can't wait to take Liam to the beach when the weather gets warmer.

Liam rolls

Last night the most exciting thing happened. Daddy was making me do tummy time, which I absolutely hate and I got to thinking that I would have so much more fun if I were on my back. So, I lifted one arm up and then used the weight of my massive head to swing the rest of my body over and whoosh, there I was, on my back. I thought mommy and daddy would be upset because I'm suppose to do tummy time every day so my head doesn't get flat but they were oddly excited and proceeded to make me do it over and over until I became very tired. It doesn't take much does it. They're easily amused! I'm pretty sure I know how to put my foot in my mouth but I'll bust that one out for them later.

Our new blog

Hi Everyone!

Tyson and I decided that starting a blog would be a great way to keep everyone updated with what's going on with the Meyer clan. We plan to post pictures and video of little Liam so you can all watch him grow. Enjoy!
